We are a small, family-owned independent pet store, serving the greater Windsor/Essex County area since 2001. Angie and Nick purchased the business in 2004, and it has been our pleasure these past 5+ years to help bring so many wonderful creatures into our customers’ homes and families. Seeing the joy in our customers’ eyes when they passionately talk to us about their pets is for us what makes this such a great business to be in.

All of our employees and volunteers bring to the table a wide and deep breadth of experience, as they are also pet lovers and exotic animal hobbyists themselves in their personal time. While our staff are very knowledgeable and eager to share, we are not too proud to think we know it all, as pausing and taking the time to research a customer’s question keeps us learning too, in addition to “getting it right the first time.”

We train our staff to be good listeners, and not pushy salespeople. It does us no good in the long run if our customers are not happy, as word-of-mouth is the most genuine and sincere form of advertising. At the end of the day, we want our customers to be exceptionally pleased with the experience of shopping in our store, and also have the knowledge and confidence to care for the health and well-being of their new pet. Regrettably, sometimes miscommunication occurs.
